We were engaged by CVS Health to execute the CODE Diversity Partner Network (DPN) initiative—an effort aimed at increasing minority participation in clinical trials through community-based partnerships. Working alongside CVS Health’s Clinical Trial Services (CTS) team, we developed and implemented a strategic engagement campaign targeting trusted community-based organizations (CBOs) that serve underrepresented populations, with a focus on Black and Brown communities. We led the creation of educational materials tailored for audiences with a 5th to 8th grade reading level, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and cultural relevance. These assets supported outreach and recruitment sessions designed to inform CBO leaders and staff about the importance of clinical trials, the barriers to minority participation, and the role they could play in increasing representation. Our responsibilities included identifying and recruiting CBOs, developing presentation decks and outreach content, managing event logistics, and executing multi-channel communications—including email, print, digital, and social media. Each engagement followed a structured 45-minute format that included an introduction, presentation, discussion, and next steps. We positioned CVS Health’s CTS as a leader in equitable research by highlighting its national footprint, trusted brand, and commitment to health equity. By mobilizing community partners, we helped build trust, raise awareness, and create pathways for greater inclusion in clinical research. Our execution of this project resulted in a scalable outreach framework, stronger community relationships, and measurable progress toward diversifying clinical trial participation—supporting CVS Health’s broader goal of improving health outcomes for all communities.
